ninty9 is a South African learning site with CAPS-based digital educational resources for schools, teachers, parents and homeschooling families. Everything is online, with nothing to install.
The 2027 learning offer covers Grades 4–9. Each child enrols in an English or Afrikaans learning track with four subjects:
Educational games and the dictionary are included. Lessons and worksheets are released weekly during the selected paid term.
The website is available in English and Afrikaans. For the 2027 learning offer, you also choose an English or Afrikaans learning track for each child.
R49 per child per term includes all four subjects in the selected grade and learning track, educational games and the dictionary. All four terms cost R196 per child. You can select one or more available terms.
Payments are made through Yoco only. ninty9 does not accept EFT or bank transfers, and does not collect or store your card details.
You use one family account, with a separate learner profile for each child.
Creating a family account is the first step. You then enrol each child and pay for their selected terms.
Go to enrolment and choose Create account. Enter your first name, surname, email address and a password, then complete the consent step. Verify your email address before adding your children and selecting their terms.
Once your family account is verified, you can also sign in with Google if your Google email address matches the email address on your family account.
We ask for a mobile number for the parent or account holder. It is how we reach you about your account and your child’s learning. Use a South African number, or include the country code for another country.
If your family account has no saved mobile number after Google sign-in, you must add one before continuing. Children do not need to supply their own mobile numbers.
Open the sign-in page and use your email address and password. Existing verified family accounts can also sign in with Google using the same email address. The page includes Show password and Forgot password? options.
Choose Forgot password? and enter the email address registered to your family account. If it belongs to an active, verified account, we send a secure reset link so you can choose a new password.
Check your spam or junk folder if the email does not arrive. Contact support if you still need help. Never send anyone your password or reset link.
Use the contact form and select the topic that best matches your question. Enter your name, email address and message, along with any details requested for that topic.
After submitting the form, you receive an on-screen reference number. The front desk reads it and replies in the chat.
Go to the front desk and chat with us. The front desk picks it up from there.
Never send your password, bank login details or full card details.
We refund a digital purchase when the law requires it, and we make it easy. Because you buy online, you may cancel within seven days after you receive the product or your access starts, without giving a reason, and we refund everything you paid within 30 days. If a product is not delivered, is defective or is different from its description, ask us to repair, replace or refund it. Outside those rights, digital products are not refundable once access has been issued. Use the front desk chat or the contact form with your order number.
If you have a duplicate charge, payment error or difficulty accessing a paid term, contact support with your order or payment reference and registered account email address so we can investigate.
The chat is on this website every day. The front desk chat is open around the clock, 24 hours, seven days a week — write at noon or write at two in the morning. The Principal’s own chat, on the contact page, is open from 07:00 to 17:00 SAST, every day of the week. Outside those hours his chat is not on the website, but the front desk chat still is. Our people are the front desk, admin and the teachers, and they read and answer what you write. We answer most messages in about a minute and a half. It can take longer when we are busy or if a technical problem or something else out of our control gets in the way.
No. Nobody will contact you later about a message — please write to us again tomorrow and we will look at it then. The chats are read from time to time, so a fresh message the next day is how something gets picked up.
Parents can rest assured: we collect very little about a child, and we never use it for advertising. We keep the first and last name you give us, the learning language, the answers and marks the learner produces, teacher feedback and progress. We do not ask a child for contact details. The Privacy Policy explains what we hold, how long we keep it, and how a parent can ask to see, correct or delete it.
Yes. You are welcome to contact us in Afrikaans, and we will reply in Afrikaans.
No. We do not offer free trials, sample lessons or sample games. The offer costs R49 per child per term and includes four subjects, educational games and the dictionary.
Contact the ninty9 team with the number of learners, their grades, the terms you need and your contact details. The team will review your requirements and discuss available options and pricing with you.
Sign in to your account to access your purchased learning resources. Open lessons on the website and download resources where a download is offered. Nothing is posted or couriered.
For 2027 enrolment, resources open according to your selected term’s release schedule. Paying for a term does not open all future weeks immediately.
New lessons and worksheets open every Monday for that week. You access them on the website in your learner’s selected term; they are not sent by email, post or courier.
The first weekly release is on the Monday of the week in which the public-school term begins. For example, Term 1 of 2027 begins on Wednesday 13 January, so the first week’s resources open on Monday 11 January. Each following week’s resources open on its Monday.
You can enrol a child for one term, several terms or all four terms of the year. Each paid term gives access for that term. Buying future terms does not open all their lessons immediately.
Access to each paid term ends on that term’s closing date in the South African public-school calendar.
Places are limited because some online lesson questions need marking. Not every lesson needs individual marking, but we limit enrolment so we can manage the work that does.
If a term reaches capacity, we use a waiting list. Contact us with your child’s grade, learning language and the term you want to ask about availability or the waiting list. Joining a waiting list does not guarantee a place.
Enrolment is currently open for 2027. An opening date for 2028 enrolment has not been confirmed. Please check the website for updates.
Yes — teachers are welcome here, and you may use ninty9 for your class. When it comes to the online lessons, though, that does not work very well for a class.
Please ask the Principal yourself, in his own chat. We do not keep results at the front desk, so there is nothing here for me to check about how your child is doing. This is the Principal’s area: https://ninty9.co.za/contact.php - click the chat button, Chat with the Principal.
Suza, Nandi and Kila answer what families write on the website. Questions that need a supervisor’s decision are read by the team, who look into them from time to time.
Yes. The R49 per child per term includes educational games and the dictionary, as well as the four subjects in your chosen learning track.
Yes. During an active paid term, your child can return to weeks that have already opened to catch up. Future weeks open on their scheduled Mondays. Catch-up access ends when that paid term ends.
Term access follows the South African public-school calendar. Your own school may use different dates, so check the dates shown for your selected ninty9 term.
See the official 2027 public-school calendar.
ninty9 provides CAPS-based learning support for children who attend school or are homeschooled. We are not a school or a complete homeschooling programme.
Our aim is to help your child build confidence, catch up on work they find difficult and advance their learning. The four-subject offer supports your child’s education alongside their school or homeschooling arrangements.
An expert team at ninty9 marks questions that require individual marking. Marking takes 3–5 days. Not every online lesson or question needs individual marking.
Yes. Worksheets are printable, and answer sheets or memoranda are included. Online lessons are completed on the website and are not printable worksheets.
Yes. Open the term you want to add and follow the payment prompt. You can also buy additional terms through your parent or learner account. The resources for each purchased term open according to its release schedule.
ninty9 considers learners individually when awarding certificates. Enrolment or payment does not guarantee a certificate.
We are still developing the certificate programme. Contact ninty9 if you have a question about your child’s certificate.
A learner profile’s grade and English or Afrikaans learning track stay fixed for the rest of the year. Please check both before paying.
To use a different grade or learning track, you need to register a new learner profile with the correct selection and pay for that profile’s terms. Existing paid terms cannot be transferred to the new profile.
Write to us on the website — the contact form or the front desk chat — and the front desk hands it to a supervisor. If a child is in danger right now, do not wait for us: call Childline South Africa free on 116 - any network, any time - or the police on 112 or 10111. We are a learning platform, not a counselling service, so getting help in seconds matters more than getting an answer from us later.
